The air filter is up top too in case you wanted to replace that on your own. The battery terminals are easily accessible in case you need to jump start the car. Super easy layout of the fluid reservoirs that you would need to check regularly (such as coolant, washer fluid and brake fluid), as well as easy access to the engine oil level indicator (that's the technical term for 'dipstick').
